World Metrology Day Conference 2012 @ Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel

National Metrology Centre (NMC), A*STAR, organised a Conference on "Metrology for Confidence in Measurements" on 18 May 2012 to commemorate World Metrology Day. Speakers at the Conference have shared with the particpants on how measurement science can help gain the confidence of users, stakeholders and regulators in calibrations, measurements and testing that are critical for global trade and industry. 

The seminar topics include Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) for global acceptance of calibration, measurement and test results; New initiative and programmes to help laboratories upgrade their capabilities; Good practices in setting up proper instrumentation, and selection of competent calibration or testing laboratories to ensure reliable measurements; Latest developments in instrumentation, calibration & measurement technologies.

Lightning & Lightning Protection (SS555:2010 - Singapore's New Lightning Protection Code) 23-25 Nov 2011 @ Raffles Town Club

The Lightning & Lightning Protection (SS555:2010 - Singapore's New Lightning Protection Code) Workshop 2011 is a joint event brought to our valued customers by D'Mark Technologies (S) Pte Ltd and PHOENIX CONTACT (SEA) PTE LTD.

This course aims at providing the participants with a clear understanding of the e­ffects of lightning and what can or cannot be done to alleviate its e­ffects. The various methods available for lightning protection of building structures will be described and some experimental studies to determine their eff­ectiveness will be presented. We had invited close to 60 guests to come forward to this learning event from 23rd November 2011 to 25th November 2011 at the Raffles Town Club. The registration kicked started early morning and we were pleased that our valued-customers have been supportive to be present and make the event overall a great success and memorable. Our speaker for the three day program was Professor Liew Ah Choy who received a First Class Honours degree and PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia in 1969 and 1972 respectively.

In April 1979, he joined the National University of Singapore where he is currently a Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering. His main interests are in lightning and lightning protection. He has over 275 publications in international and regional journals and has acted as a specialist consultant to many lightning related and other technical projects in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. He is also the chairman of the technical committee of the Singapore Code of Practice for Lightning Protection, SS555:2010 as well as the previous edition CP33:1996.

The new Singapore Lightning Protection Code SS555:2010 was launched in November 2010. It consists of 4 parts:

Part 1: General principles
Part 2: Risk management
Part 3: Physical damage of structures and life hazard
Part 4: Electrical and electronic systems within structures

The Code has been adopted by the Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) which mandates its compliance for building structures in Singapore. This course will highlight some of the new concepts and requirements, in particular, the more stringent aspects in comparison with the previous Code CP33:1996.

The NEW Hitachi SJ700B Industrial AC Drives and Schaffner's Harmonic Solutions Seminar 2011 is a joint event brought to our valued customers by D'Mark Technologies (S) Pte Ltd and Hitachi Asia Ltd. This seminar aims to share the knowledge on the newly launched product from Hitachi Asia Ltd, SJ700B AC Drives, and also Harmonics Issues & Solutions in Electrical System from Schaffner EMC Pte Ltd. We had invited close to 60 guests to come forward to this learn and share event on 02-September-2011 at the Raffles Town Club. The registration kicked started around late morning and we were pleased that our valued-customers have been supportive to be present and make the event overall a great success and a memorable day.

D'Mark Technologies Movie Event (KungFu Panda 2) 2011 @ The Cathay Cineplex

An appreciation program to express our gratitude to our valued-customers for the past years, we had invited close to 200 guests (together with their loved ones) to relax and enjoyed a movie screening event on 10-June-2011 at the Cathay Cineplex (Douby Ghout), The registration and collection of tickets kicked started around late afternoon and we were pleased that our valued-customers have been supportive to be present and make the event overall a great success and a memorable evening together as a BIG family.

The movie specially prepared for our valued-customers/guests was the one of the blockbuster of the year, Kungfu Panda 2. Enjoyed by both of adults and children, this movie has truly touched the hearts of all our delighted guests. The show lasted about 2 hours and it was a fun filled time together. D'Mark earnestly thank all our valued-customers/guests for their time and it's truly our priviledge to serve.

Singapore Water Expo 2010 @ Suntec Singapore from 29th June to 1st July 2010

Widely recognised as one of the most important water solutions platform in the world, Singapore International Water Week 2010, together with the co-located World Cities Summit, it occupied 18,000m² of covered exhibition space to showcase the latest water and urban solutions as well as best practices, compared to 12,000m² last year.

The Singapore International Water Week was held from 28 June to 2 July 2010 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Themed "Sustainable Cities - Clean and Affordable Water", Water Week 2010 focuses on the need for efficiency in water solutions, and has hosted more than 450 participating companies from around the world, an increase of 10 percent over the 2009 event.

D'Mark Technologies (S) Pte Ltd, being the Official Authorized Distributor and System Integrator Partner (SIP) of Phoenix Contact Singapore,is most glad to partner with Phoenix Contact Singapore in participating the event @ Booth P 19 Singapore Pavilion.

During the week, various companies are expected to unveil eagerly anticipated flagship technologies, products and services that underscore the immense business potential of the water industry and draw the attention of the water world. With the World Cities Summit held in conjunction with the Water Week, the overall number of visitors is estimated to hit the 12,000 mark, an increase from the 10,000 visitors in the 2009 event.

D'Mark @ Semicon Singapore 5th May to 7th May 2008

Just like the last SEMICON Singapore in 2007, D'Mark returns to one of the biggest, prominent semiconductor trade show of the year 2008.

As Singapore is the Gateway to the Southeast Asia market, SEMICON Singapore would be a place to showcase products and connect with people who will purchase and recommend requirements for equipping new fabs and expanding packaging and test operations in Southeast Asia.

D'Mark Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is pleased to have the chance to present our various technology and products to our customers in this event. Customers were given a real-time operation and control controllers in the factory automation about the improvements to their own operations. They also got to have the chance to discover how temperature reading is done with the World shortest body Azbil sensor operations on a heater.

The trade shows begins 5 May and runs through 7 May 2008 at Suntec Convention Centre, Level 4 Hall 404. D' Mark earnestly thank all the visitors for their time and the wonderful opportunity that they had given to us.

D'Mark @ CIA 2007 27th Nov to 30th Nov 2007

D'Mark Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is proud to station a booth in the CIA 2007 which held at the Suntec Sinapore. This event is organised by Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd and also welcomed numerous group delegations from countries such as Indonesia, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, with specific and targetted buying objectives. Visitors to CIA 2007 were treated to a wide array of products and services put up at the marketplace by 622 companies from 43 countries.

D'Mark is pleased to be in the mdist of this superlative marketplace experience for Asia in plant and process engineering technology, instrumentation and analytical sciences. Spread over four days, the exhibition, with the accompanying conferences and social events, was abuzz with business partnerships and opportunities being explored and exploited.

D'Mark was able to meet many new business partners from various industries to discuss the possibilites solutions, in order to achieve the customer's control and process applications successfully. Visitors also get to learn the unlimited benefits of Raytek's non-contact infred temperature sensors because if its highest temperature range and variety of products to suit individual applications. Raytek infrared sensors can support applications spanning from drying, coating, paint drying curing to calendering and embossing.

Wireless Seminar @ SUNTEC convention Centre with Phoenix Contact 30 Oct 2007

Wireless seminar was organised by both D'Mark Technologies and Phoenix Contact. It discussed on the next technology era of data communication between the applications. Held in the Suntec Convention Centre Level 3 on 31 Oct 2007, the event was swarmed with people ranging from different manufacturing industries to meet the faces behind the companies. Wireless seminar also outlined the latest wireless technology on different wireless components and how it can be effectively applied to your industry to maximize your outputs.

At this seminar, Mr Frank Hakemeyer from Phoenix Contact GmbH in the development for analog signal conditioning modules explained how obstructed barriers, high maintenance costs and ineffective signal communication can greatly benefit from Phoenix Contact wireless products like RAD-ISM-2400-SET-BD-BUS-ANT. Making use of Trusted Wireless™ radio technology, this Phoenix Contact Bidirectional data transmission device is smart enough to transmit data at 37ms without any programming or set-up.

Moreover, a vivid live demonstration was shown by Mr. Joachim Pucker, to impress the attendees with how great the remote control car can integrate well with the bidirectional data transmission device allowed long distance travels. In other words, the wireless device has enabled the remote control car to receive data signals even from 1 km. Not to mention, attendees who experiment on the remote control car that run using Omex Technology had enjoyed intensely. An informative session wrapped up the exciting event.

Water & Waste Water Management Control Seminar by Phoenix Contact and D'Mark 22 June 2007

Together with Phoenix Contact, D'Mark conducted the Water and Waste Management Control, on Friday, 22 June 2007, at Block 34 Ngee Ann Polytechnic. An approximately 40 partners attend this event. Phoenix Contact ReSy Remote Control Technology was introduced to our targeted customers and prospects, a break-through innovative technology that helps increase productivity and return-on-investment.

ReSy Remote Control Technology concept was further elaborated by Mr. Joachim Pucker, a service consultant from Phoenix Contact Automation Technology Educational Institution. He explained the unique selling point of the remote control technology during the seminar that enables the users to mix and match their preferred Phoenix Contact solutions, simple yet feasible and hassle-free for any hierarchy or other communication issues. He shared with our customers and partners from water industry on how ethernet and profinet communication and distributed controllers can improve water management in the long run. In addition, a vivid live demonstration was shown too. Mr. Joachim Pucker has impressed the attendees with how great the remote control station can integrate well with the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Modular I/O modules and Modems.

As part of the fully integrated automation architecture, Phoenix Contact Wireless Solution on Bluetooth was another highlight of the seminar. This focuses on the latest products Wireless Serial Product Line- PSI-Line Serial.
